Private Collection

Visage is made by New Zealand’s leading knitwear manufacturer, Private Collection.

Based in Eden Terrace in Auckland, Private Collection boasts a skilled team of knitwear technicians whose work is widely admired for its superior quality and fit, timeless design and attention to detail.

CEO Phil Bramley established Private Collection in 1982. Phil’s passion for textiles dates back to childhood, and over the years he has become one of New Zealand’s foremost authorities on knitwear. His company houses one of the most advanced knitting plants in the world, and specialises in luxury yarns such as merino and cashmere.

Private Collection also manufactures knitwear for Standard Issue, as well as contracting its services to other leading fashion houses and corporates.

Private Collection's advanced factory primarily uses Shima Seiki knitting machines from Japan. These machines specialise in wholegarment knitting technology, which means the garments are almost complete when they come off the machines.
